All law enforcement civil service examinations require test takers to apply reading and reasoning skills. Promotional exams are largely content based and require test takers to apply their knowledge of supervision concepts, the law (statutes and court decisions) and law enforcement practices (investigative techniques). These sample questions are examples of the questions frequently used by the examiners.
